As the coastline bursts into life for summer, our kitchen turns its focus towards fresh seafood, vibrant seasonal dishes and relaxed seaside dining at its very best.
From locally landed fish and colourful summer salads to hand-stretched sourdough pizzas, indulgent desserts and daily changing specials, our menus celebrate the incredible produce available here on the Isle of Wight throughout the warmer months.
Whether you’re joining us for a long lunch in the sunshine, sunset drinks with friends or dinner overlooking the sea, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Seasonal Menu
Our seasonal menu showcases the very best local and British produce available throughout the summer months. Expect fresh seafood, lighter seasonal dishes, vibrant flavours and carefully crafted classics designed for relaxed coastal dining.
Alongside our main menu, our daily specials boards allow the kitchen team to make the most of the freshest ingredients available each day - from locally caught fish and shellfish to Isle of Wight tomatoes, seasonal vegetables and summer herbs.
Our hand-stretched sourdough pizzas are also available daily and have quickly become a firm favourite for sharing with family and friends by the sea.

Alongside our seasonal summer menu - packed with tasty bar snacks, sharing plates, hand-stretched sourdough pizzas and creative takes on pub classics - you'll also find a selection of daily specials inspired by the changing seasons and the incredible produce available right here on the Isle of Wight.
Everything is freshly prepared and cooked to order by our talented kitchen team. It might mean things take a little longer during our busiest periods, but we believe great food is always worth the wait.
Seasonality sits at the heart of everything we do. Head Chef Scott and his team are passionate about making the most of the island's exceptional produce, creating dishes that celebrate the flavours of summer, the surrounding coastline and the very best local ingredients available each day.
Provenance matters to us, which is why we work closely with local fishermen, growers and independent suppliers wherever possible - people who care just as much about quality, consistency and sustainability as we do.
Sourdough Pizzas
Introducing our new hand-stretched, stone-baked, sourdough pizzas available in both 9 or 11 inch and available all day from 1200-2100hrs both when dining in or taking away, whether to the beach, out on the water or at home! Please note all take-away orders must be placed and paid for on site and no telephone orders will be accepted.
Sandwiches & Light Bites
Our scrumptious sandwiches, crusty ciabattas and bagels are available everyday for those looking for a quick or light bite option. Served alongside our Seasonal & Pizza menus, enjoy all our sandwiches either on site or as take-away 12-3pm.
Homemade Desserts
Our delicious desserts are all homemade on site everyday. From light tarts, to indulgent delights, rich treats and simple scoops - there is sure to be something for everyone. We also have a vast range of after dinner drinks, digestifs, cocktails, tea and coffee - because, lets face it - life is too fort!
Children's Menu
Our separate children's menu is available during our lunch and evening service plus an additional "Kids Tea" service available from 1700hrs. To book a table for kids tea, please call the team on 01983612363 or email bookings@theoldfortseaview.co.uk to book your space. Limited highchairs available.
Signature Cocktails
Enjoy a ‘East Wight Martini‘ or a ‘Seaview Spritz‘ as well as our take on classic cocktails such as ‘The Party Starter‘ – our version of an Espresso Martini – which someone recently reviewed as “The Best Espresso Martini they’ve ever had”! Another firm favourite is ‘The Sun Downer‘ to enjoy whilst watching the evening dinghy race and we now offer a "Cocktail of the Week" to keep it interesting...
Wine & Sparkling List
We have an extensive wine list with plenty available by the glass and coming soon ‘The Director’s Cellar‘ – a collection of special bottles, in small quantities, aged in our private cellar under lock & key
Special Events & Private Dining
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, wedding, christening, another special occasion or just having a get together we can put on a special event menu to suit your budget and needs. Or choose from any of our delicious set menus - all using fresh locally sourced seafood and ingredients like our famous Surf 'n Turf sharing boards pictured here. And occasionally, by prior arrangement, it is sometimes possible to pre-order your favourite dish from our menu or specials boards to make sure we have it on the day.
Perhaps you are looking for a private area or exclusive use of the upstairs dining room, a wonderful and charming venue to host private functions for up to 55 guests. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the downstairs bar in the winter or on our beachfront patio during the summer months.
